Privacy Policy
Learn how aimusicdetector.app handles uploaded audio, third-party detection providers, analytics, cookies, account history, and deletion workflows.
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Aimusicdetector.app collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you visit the website, upload audio for an AI music detector scan, create an account, or contact support.
Aimusicdetector.app is operated by an individual operator. We do not publicly list the operator's personal name or address on this website. For privacy, account, billing, or legal questions, contact [email protected].
This service is intended as a probabilistic AI music screening tool. It is not legal advice, copyright clearance, an authorship determination, an infringement finding, or a guarantee that any platform will accept, monetize, distribute, or approve a track.
Information we collect
We may collect website and device information, analytics information, uploaded audio, file metadata, scan metadata, account information, scan history, payment-related metadata for private account features, and support communications.
If you upload audio, we may process the uploaded audio file, file type, file size, approximate duration, scan ID, client trace ID, status, error code, diagnostic metadata, AI likelihood band, confidence context, and file-quality notes.
You should upload audio only if you own it or have permission to analyze it. Do not upload files you are not authorized to process, confidential files you are not allowed to share, or audio containing sensitive personal information unless you have appropriate permission and a lawful basis.
Audio processing and retention
For standard scans, raw uploaded audio is processed for the scan and is not kept as a long-term stored file by Aimusicdetector.app. For larger asynchronous uploads, raw audio may be stored temporarily in Cloudflare R2 while queued or processing. The application is designed to delete raw audio after processing completes or fails, and an administrative cleanup process is designed to remove orphaned raw upload objects older than 24 hours.
We store scan metadata, detection results, and a SHA-256 file hash to support scan history, duplicate-scan caching, abuse prevention, and cost control. The hash is used to identify repeat submissions and is not intended to reconstruct the original audio.
Scan history retention may vary by account plan or feature state unless a shorter or longer period is required for security, billing, disputes, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
Signed-in users may request deletion of account data or saved scan history. Related scan metadata, file hashes, audit records, billing records, or security records may remain until the applicable retention period expires, or longer where needed for security, billing, dispute handling, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
Modulate AI music detection
We use Modulate, Inc. and its Velma AI Music Detection API to analyze uploaded audio and return probabilistic AI music detection signals. Modulate may process uploaded audio, file metadata, and technical request information to provide the detection result.
Based on Modulate's public documentation, processing and retention practices may depend on the service plan and agreement in place. Unless and until we have confirmed a separate enterprise or data-processing arrangement, uploaded audio submitted to Modulate may be processed under Modulate's applicable self-service/API terms, which may allow use for model development or service improvement. Do not upload confidential, sensitive, or unauthorized audio.
The service does not provide definitive source attribution. It may show general AI vocal or AI instrumental signals when returned by the detector, but it does not prove that a track came from a specific AI music platform.
Payments
We may use PayPal or another checkout provider to process one-time scan credit purchases and any private account payment features. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
When payment is used, the merchant name shown at checkout or on your payment statement may identify the checkout provider merchant account or the individual operator.
Legal bases where applicable
Where GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we rely on contract to provide scans, accounts, private account features, and support; consent for optional analytics where required; legitimate interests for security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, abuse prevention, and service improvement; and legal obligation for tax, accounting, dispute, and compliance obligations.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, or withdraw consent for optional analytics. To make a privacy request, contact [email protected].
Children
Aimusicdetector.app is not intended for children under 13. Do not use the service if you are not old enough to consent to the processing of your information in your location.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, providers, legal requirements, or data practices change.
